Business Proposition and Boundaries

The primary business question for a cognitive enhancement system is not to package future narratives as present capability, but to convert information processing, knowledge retrieval, focused collaboration, and decision support into value that is verifiable, procurable, and renewable. The central contradiction of digitalization has shifted from information scarcity to cognitive congestion: information appears to be at employees' fingertips, yet they constantly switch among searching, comprehending, coordinating, and reviewing; attention is fragmented, working-memory load rises, important judgments lack evidence chains, and teams repeatedly solve problems that have already been solved.

Cognitive enhancement, as used in this plan, means reducing the wasted effort of cognitive tasks through software, artificial intelligence, knowledge organization, human-computer interaction, and compliant data feedback. It is not a medical diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation program, and it does not imply changes to intelligence, physiology, or health status. System value is measured not by abstract degrees of intelligence but by the time required to complete key tasks, the number of context switches, rework ratios, knowledge reuse rates, and decision traceability.

02

Six Layers, Three Flows

The system adopts a six-layer architecture: a base resource layer, a data and knowledge layer, an intelligent capability layer, a core technology orchestration layer, an interaction and workflow layer, and a governance and operations layer. Governance runs horizontally through all layers and is not a one-time pre-launch check but an operating mechanism applied to every data read, model call, memory write, and collaborative distribution. This forms a closed loop of receiving a task, understanding intent, obtaining evidence, selecting capabilities, executing steps, saving results, and feeding back improvements, with each stage independently observable and able to stop, roll back, or hand over to humans on anomaly.

Three mutually constraining flows run inside the system. The data flow asks whether information is authorized, whether it requires de-identification, and how long it is retained; the control flow asks who may initiate actions, how far automation may proceed, and how anomalies are rolled back; the evidence flow records sources, model versions, tool invocations, human modifications, and final decisions. Fast output without an evidence flow cannot build trust; broad connectivity without a control flow invites privilege overreach; and without data-flow governance, knowledge assets can spread without anyone's knowledge.

03

Engineering Definitions of Four Technologies

Neural network acceleration shortens processing chains through model routing, parallel retrieval, task decomposition, cache reuse, and tool orchestration; what is 'accelerated' is the information and computation pipeline, not human biological neural conduction. The absolute focus barrier builds dynamic information filtering, priority queues, and interruption management around task goals; genuinely urgent information retains a breakthrough channel, and users can inspect filtering rationale, adjust rules, and lift the barrier at any time, preventing algorithms from deciding on people's behalf what deserves attention.

The high-dimensional memory matrix organizes documents, facts, tasks, people, time, versions, and permission relations into a multidimensional knowledge structure, while recording where each piece of knowledge came from, under what conditions it applies, which tasks used it, and who may view it; accurate attribution, fast localization, effective forgetting, and compliant deletion matter more than boundless hoarding. The distributed wisdom network coordinates people in different roles, models, professional tools, and compute nodes onto the same task, with handover cycle time, collaborative throughput, and conclusion traceability as its observable outcomes.

04

Phased Rollout, Decision Gates

Commercialization proceeds at a deliberate pace. The near term uses established technologies to build enterprise cognitive workbenches, personal knowledge and task assistance, team collaboration, and trustworthy retrieval. The mid term embeds these general capabilities into R&D, consulting, education and training, professional services, and complex operations, building switching costs through knowledge governance and organization-level evaluation. Only in the long term, based on scientific evidence, engineering maturity, and the regulatory environment, is a decision made on whether to pursue closer human-machine interaction and brain-computer interface research. Quantum neural intervention, superconducting neuron expansion, external hippocampus attachments, and consciousness dimension leaps do not constitute delivery facts, metrics, or contractual commitments.

Decisions advance through five gates: problem validation, controlled pilot, commercial launch, scaled replication, and frontier conversion; failing any gate means staying at the previous stage to improve. User interviews cannot substitute for willingness to pay, demos cannot substitute for operation in real environments, signed contract value cannot substitute for collections and renewals, and research papers cannot substitute for regulatory approval. Where scientific evidence is insufficient, no commitments are made; where customer value does not hold, no expansion occurs; where safety boundaries are unclear, nothing is opened up.
